Coming at you with my third What I Eat In A Day video! I’m on vacation on Lake Michigan and having a super dreamy time relaxing, in both body and diet. It was important for my mental health to let myself indulge a little on this trip and just let go for a bit.
I try and do this sort of thing periodically to combat getting too obsessive about my food and embrace the fact that this is one life and for me personally, not eating poutine at an amazing restaurant is way too silly to allow. I’m lucky in the fact that I don’t have to combat food allergies in the way a lot of people do and eat the way I choose to for other reasons (to help with migraines, optimal health and energy, etc.)–totally not neglecting the fact that this isn’t an option for many people who suffer serious gluten or dairy allergies. But in my case, this is something I’m able to do and enjoy doing to put life into perspective and remember that what I eat or don’t eat isn’t the be-all and end-all.
