Sweet, icy coffee drinks (frappuccinos) may be one of the greatest pleasures this world has to offer. Maybe I say this because it’s summer and I have no air conditioning or because I really love coffee (or both), but hey. Doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
I have very fond memories of Starbucks frappuccinos but zero fond memories of how they made me feel after drinking them, so I saw an opening here for a recipe that was gonna revolutionize my coffee game and fill me with the satisfaction I so desired from a good ole chocolate-y mocha frap. I present to you…the SUPER simple paleo + vegan Java Chip Frappuccino! Awwww yeeeeee.
The end product is like a coffee slushie with flecks of chocolate throughout thanks to the chunk of dark chocolate blended in, and the maple syrup adds a touch of rich sweetness. Keep in mind I tend to like my coffee black, so if you want some extra sweetness, add a touch more maple syrup!
To me, this is the ultimate healthy replacement for sugary Starbucks drinks and I have been obsessed with making it lately. The ultimate pick-me-up, sweet treat and summer refresher all in one. Plus, chocolate, so. Can you tell I’ve created my last two recipes while on my period? Chocolate chocolate chocolate EVERYWHERE!!!
Also, I made a YouTube video to go along with this recipe! I’m so excited to have done my first recipe video ever, and I so hope you enjoy it.
